Parallelograms

A parallelogram is a quadrilateral (a polygon with 4 sides and 4 corners) with both pairs of opposite sides parallel.

                                                                             

 

  • To be a parallelogram these shapes must also have opposite sides that are congruent.
  • They need one pair of opposite sides parallel and congruent.
  • Diagonals bisect each other.
  • Both pairs of opposite angles are congruent.
  • Consecutive angles are supplementary.
  •
